NIU Rockford

Our center in Rockford offers programs to NIU students and the community. NIU Rockford is conveniently located near the intersection of I-90 and Rt. 39. We make it easy to take classes toward an NIU degree program, hold your business event or attend one of our community programs. 

Academic Programs

NIU offers undergraduate and graduate academic programs, including courses from our College of Visual and Performing Arts, M.S.Ed. and Ed.D. programs are available at our Rockford location.

Conference and Event Management

NIU Rockford is a full-service conference center. Our rooms range from 300-3,000 square feet, so we can easily accommodate your meeting or event. Contact ConferenceCenters@niu.edu for more information.

NIU Engineering at Rock Valley College

NIU Engineering at RVC is a community-based, industry-integrated workforce development solution for the Rockford region. NIU joins with local higher education and manufacturing and aerospace industry partners to offer an NIU bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, taught by NIU faculty on the campus of RVC.

Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence (NICNE)

NIU supports social innovation though our strong partnership with NICNE, offering non-credit leadership development courses, capacity-building services, consulting for non-profit organizations and collaborating with regional partners on community change and social justice initiatives.
