Food Truck Wednesdays
Don't miss the fun!
Come out for lunch, meet-up with a friend or grab your afternoon pick-me-up from a variety of food trucks each Wednesday during the fall and spring.
Local food trucks will line the street on Normal Road in front of the MLK Commons on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
CAB will provide entertainment and fun, including student performances. There will also be appearances from members of NIU Athletics. Facilitated by the Division of Outreach, Engagement and Regional Development and Founders Memorial Library.

Parking Information for Community Members
How to use Mobile pay to attend Food Truck Wednesdays
- Go to Lot 5 or the NIU Visitor Lot.
- Scan the QR code on the sign in the lot.
- Select the lot you are in (Lot 5 or the Visitor Lot)
- Choose time length.
- Add vehicle information.
- Proceed to checkout.
Parking rates are $1.70 an hour.
Parking Locations
- Lot 5 is located at Normal Road and Lucinda Avenue behind the Peters Campus Life Building
- The NIU Visitor Lot is located north of Illinois Route 38 (Lincoln Highway) on Carroll Avenue. Follow signs to "Visitor Parking."
- Don’t have a parking pass or know where to park? No problem! Find and pay for timed parking on campus with AIMS Mobile Pay (AMP). Hourly rates start at $1.20.
